Downtown Kitchener: Same Sex, Same Love Wedding

On a beautiful May Saturday in 2022, I had the absolute privilege to photograph a wedding between the two most beautiful souls. They eloped to my city, Kitchener, ON and they had their closest friends come and join them to celebrate their love and make it official. Why Kitchener? Well, 1 why not Kitchener? That was rhetorical…you don’t need to answer that. And 2, not everywhere in the world recognizes that love transcends all our preconceived notions of gender, and these two women needed to celebrate their love. 

I cannot stress enough that these two unequivocally love the bananas out of each other. The day was full of small little gifts for one another, so much laughing, so much love and so much joy. They chose the always lovely Walper Hotel to get ready in, and like always, this location came through with gorgeous light and decor. 

The intimate ceremony was on Roos Island in Victoria Park (hopefully known soon as Willow River Park) downtown Kitchener. And then we headed back to the Walper, to enjoy their restaurant, TWH Social, in a private room with amazing food and service. 

Happy almost one year anniversary S + S!! I am looking forward to seeing you again in a few short weeks.
